What we are here to do
For thousands of years, people have looked at the stars, numbers, cards and the lines of the hand to think about their lives. These traditions are part of human history and culture. They can also be confusing, full of jargon, and hidden behind paywalls or sign-up forms.
Mystic Tools exists to change that. Our goal is simple:
- Understandable. We explain every idea in plain English, and we explain each special term the first time we use it.
- Free. Every tool is free to use. There is no account and no sign-up.
- Private. Your birth details, answers and photos are worked on inside your own browser. They are not stored on our servers.
The word "mystic" points to what is hidden or not yet known. For us, that is an invitation to look closer and ask good questions. It is not a claim that we hold secret certainty.
How our tools are built
Each tool follows the real method of its tradition, as closely as we can make it.
- Real maths. Astrology tools calculate planet positions from your date, time and place using published astronomical formulas. Numerology tools use the standard letter tables and reduction rules. The I Ching tool uses the same odds as the traditional yarrow-stalk method.
- Traditional tables. Meanings come from the long-standing conventions of each tradition, rewritten by us in plain words.
- Method shown. Every report ends with a "How this was calculated" section, so you can check the working for yourself.
- Fair draws. Card, rune and dice tools use a random draw. If you share a reading, the link recreates the exact same draw, so nothing is quietly changed.
- Runs on your device. The tools run in your browser. PDF reports are created on your device too.
Our honesty principles
We love these traditions, and we also want to be straight with you about them.
- Readings are for reflection, learning and fun. They are not medical, legal, financial or mental health advice.
- We do not promise to predict the future. A symbol can prompt a thought. It cannot decide your life for you.
- We keep a clear line between history, tradition and scientific evidence. When the evidence does not support a claim, we say so kindly and clearly.
- We never invent statistics, studies, reviews or user numbers.
- Curiosity is welcome here. So is healthy doubt.
Who Mystic Tools is for
- The curious beginner who wants to know what a rising sign or a Life Path number actually is.
- The regular practitioner who wants quick, accurate calculations and a tidy PDF to keep.
- The thoughtful sceptic who wants to see the method and the evidence before deciding anything.
- Anyone who uses these tools as a mirror: a calm way to pause, ask questions and think about what matters to them.
