What is the Personality Number Calculator?

Your Personality number comes from the consonants in your full birth name. Consonants are the firm edges of the sounds in a name, so numerology reads them as your outer layer: the impression you make, how strangers describe you, and the face you show at work.

It is not a mask in a fake sense. It is more like a front door: what people meet first. Your Soul Urge (vowels) is the living room behind it. This report reads both, plus your Expression (the whole name) and, if you give a birth date, your Life Path.

How it works

Every letter that is not a vowel is counted, using A=1 to I=9, then J=1 again. The letter Y is a consonant when it sounds like the y in "yes" or joins another vowel, and a vowel otherwise (you can override this). Each name is reduced on its own, then the totals are added and reduced, keeping 11, 22 and 33.

How it connects to your star sign

Your Personality number links to a planet and its sign, which describes a similar outward style in astrology: a Personality 8 links to Saturn and Capricorn (serious and capable), a 3 to Jupiter and Sagittarius (open and friendly). With a birth date, your sun sign is shown as well.

Common questions

What does the Personality number mean?

It describes how you come across to others, especially people who do not know you well yet: your style, first impression and public manner.

Why does my Personality feel different from who I am?

That is common. Your Personality is the outer layer; your Soul Urge describes what you want inside. A big gap between them is worth thinking about, and the report explains yours.

Do I need my birth date?

No. The Personality number uses only your name. Adding a birth date lets the report include your Life Path and your sun sign.

Can I use my nickname?

You can. Tradition uses the birth name for your core nature, but your everyday name can show the impression you give in daily life. Try both.
