What is the Manglik Dosha Checker?
Manglik dosha (also Mangal or Kuja dosha) is a traditional marriage consideration. It is said to occur when Mars, the planet of drive and heat, sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house of the chart. About half of all charts meet that rule from at least one reference point, so it is very common.
Different schools count from different points: the Lagna, the Moon and Venus. Classical texts also list many conditions that cancel it, and many astrologers say two Manglik partners cancel each other out.
It is a symbolic idea, not a prediction of harm. Used well, it is a prompt to talk about temperament, anger and patience in a relationship.
How it works
We compute sidereal Mars, Moon, Venus and Lagna (Lahiri) and count whole-sign houses from each. Houses 1, 2, 4, 7, 8 and 12 count. We then check cancellations: Mars in own or exalted sign, the classical house-and-sign exceptions, Jupiter with or aspecting Mars, Mars with the Moon, and Mars in Leo or Aquarius (in some texts).
Strength is based on how many reference points are hit (Lagna counts most) and whether the 7th or 8th house is involved.
How it connects to your star sign
Mars rules Aries and Scorpio and is exalted in Capricorn, which is why Mars in those signs is treated as well behaved. The report shows your Mars sign in both zodiacs.
