What is the Sade Sati Checker?
Sade Sati ("seven and a half") is the period when Saturn passes through the sign before your Moon sign, your Moon sign itself, and the sign after it. Saturn spends about 2.5 years in each sign, so the whole passage takes about 7.5 years and comes round roughly every 30 years.
Tradition describes it as a time of pressure that builds maturity: more responsibility, slower results and a clear-out of what is not working. Shani Dhaiyya (a 2.5-year period) is when Saturn is 4th (Kantaka Shani) or 8th (Ashtama Shani) from your Moon.
Most people live through two or three Sade Satis. Many achieve important things during them, because Saturn rewards steady, honest work.
How it works
We find your sidereal Moon sign (Lahiri). Then we scan Saturn's sidereal longitude from before your birth to 100 years after, and use a root-finder to get the exact moment it crosses each sign boundary, including the back-and-forth crossings caused by retrograde motion.
Sade Sati runs from Saturn's first entry into the 12th sign from your Moon to its final exit from the 2nd sign. Short retrograde exits inside a period are listed so you can see them.
How it connects to your star sign
Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius and is exalted in Libra. Your Moon sign is the key: the report shows it in the sidereal zodiac and explains how it may differ from your Western signs.
