Horary Question Chart

Write a focused question, choose its topic, and enter when and where you are asking. The report finds the significators, checks whether they perfect an aspect, follows the Moon's next aspects and works through the traditional considerations before judgement.

What is the Horary Question Chart?

Horary astrology casts a chart for the moment a sincere question is asked, following rules set out by William Lilly and earlier astrologers. The topic you choose picks the house of the matter; the question text itself is not analysed.

The traditional reading is shown as a tally of testimonies for and against. It cannot determine another person's private thoughts or replace qualified legal, financial, medical or other advice.

How it works

The local question time is converted to UTC, then tropical planetary positions and houses are calculated for the selected coordinates (whole sign houses near the poles). Traditional rulers give the significators. Perfection, the Moon's aspects, combustion, reception and the planetary hour are all computed from the chart.

How it connects to your star sign

This tool uses the tropical zodiac and an analytical ephemeris unless the method says otherwise. Astrology is a symbolic tradition, not a scientific test.

Common questions

Can this tool predict what will happen?

No. It calculates astronomical positions and presents traditional symbolism. It cannot guarantee events or replace practical judgment.

Are my details private?

Calculations run in your browser. Place search uses the selected city name with a geocoding service; the reading itself does not require an account.
