What is the AI Sound Frequency Prescriber?
Your brain produces electrical rhythms, measured in hertz (cycles per second). Researchers group them into bands: delta for deep sleep, theta for drowsy and dreamy states, alpha for relaxed wakefulness, beta for alert thinking and gamma for very fast, intense focus. The idea behind beat-based audio is that playing a steady pulse at the speed of a band may gently nudge you towards it. That idea is called entrainment.
A binaural beat is the neatest way to make a very slow pulse audible. Play 180 Hz in your left ear and 190 Hz in your right, and your hearing system produces a 10 Hz throb that is not in either tone. It only works with headphones, because each ear needs its own tone. If you are on speakers we switch to a monaural beat, where the two tones are mixed before they reach you, which produces a real audible pulse that works on any output.
On top of the beat, your session layers two traditional sounds. A solfeggio pad is one of nine tones (174 to 963 Hz) popular in modern sound healing, chosen to suit your goal. A chakra note is a note of the C major scale paired with one of the seven chakras, played an octave low as a soft hum. These are included because they sound pleasant and carry meaning, not because they do anything measurable.
Every session has three phases: Settle, Journey and Return (or Drift, if you are heading for sleep). The first phase meets you where you actually are, which is why we ask about your mood. If you are wired we start you in low beta and step down, a familiar relaxation approach of pacing first and leading second, rather than demanding that you switch off all at once.
How it works
Your goal selects a path through the brainwave bands and a trio of solfeggio tones. Your mood overrides the first phase: an anxious or scattered start begins in alpha, a wired start begins in low beta at 14 Hz. Phase lengths are 25 per cent Settle, 55 per cent Journey and 20 per cent Return of the total minutes you chose, so a 20 minute session gives 5, 11 and 4 minutes. A sleep session has its final beat lowered to 2 Hz, deep in the delta range.
Each phase gets a carrier frequency (a low, comfortable base tone that rises slightly across the session) and a beat frequency. The left ear plays the carrier, the right ear plays the carrier plus the beat, so a 180 Hz carrier with a 10 Hz beat means 180 Hz and 190 Hz. On speakers both tones are played centred and mix in the air instead. The solfeggio tone and the chakra note (an octave below its standard pitch) sit underneath at much lower volume.
Playback uses the Web Audio API with pure sine oscillators, scheduled with gentle fades of 3 to 6 seconds in and out of each phase so nothing clicks or jars. Nothing is downloaded or streamed: the tones are generated live on your device. You can also play any single phase on its own to try it before committing to the full session.
How it connects to your star sign
Each chakra has a traditional zodiac pairing, so the note your session uses points to a sign: C and the root chakra to Capricorn, D and the sacral to Cancer, E and the solar plexus to Leo, F and the heart to Libra, G and the throat to Gemini, A and the third eye to Sagittarius, B and the crown to Pisces. Your report names the sign for your session chakra, plus the sign the Sun is currently in (with a note on whether the season suits slow grounding sound or brighter alert sessions), and Pisces, which is ruled by Neptune and is the sign most linked with music, sound and dreamy states.
